Program For
4-Year Olds
This program is sponsored by MECK-Pre K for children who have reached 4 years of age by August 30, of each school year.
For 4-year-olds, we offer extended day classrooms at Charlotte Bilingual Preschool through partnership with MECK Pre-K. These classrooms are also each staffed by two bilingual teachers using the Reggio Emilia approach and the Creative Curriculum. Our MECK Pre-K classrooms facilitate the flow of social capital and improve language acquisition. In this integrated classroom model, many of our students come from our Spanish-speaking population and others speak English or a third language at home!
To apply to this program, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a resident of Mecklenburg County.
- Enroll on the Meck Pre-K website and select Charlotte Bilingual Preschool as your first choice of school.
If MECK-Pre K assigns your child to our school, we will contact you to complete the registration process.
