Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Advancement Associate is responsible for a range of fundraising and administrative duties to advance Charlotte Bilingual Preschool’s mission.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Fully responsible for donor management database and gift processing, including but not be limited to:
    • Daily accurate gift entry
    • Gift acknowledgments within 48 hours of gift receipt
    • Matching gift processes
    • Data hygiene
    • Data analysis to support fundraising strategies
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
    • Monthly reconciliation with finance systems and department
    • Super-user status – providing support and ensuring all advancement team members and the Executive Director receive training and actively use Bloomerang
    • Dashboard evaluation and update
    • Preparing database for wealth screening
  • Assists Annual Giving Manager in fundraising events, including Grandes Sueños
  • Coordinates logistics for mailings
  • Supports other Advancement functions as needed
  • Assists Chief Advancement Officer when needed

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in Advancement with experience with Bloomerang or other donor databases or CRMs required
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information and to solve problems, think and plan strategically
  • The ability to work efficiently with flexibility, enthusiasm, and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated professionalism and good judgement
  • The ability to work independently
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with SharePoint/Teams, Microsoft Office and experience using Excel formulas
  • Clear, precise communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Bilingual – Spanish/English with proficiency in reading and writing in both languages required
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity
  • Passionate about early childhood education, economic mobility, and immigrant communities
